We are hosting a Careers and Skills exhibition at our school owing to the fact that we cannot accommodate institutions individually for presentations at the school. This is due to the vast number of institutions who want to see the learners and the very limited time we have available in our timetable, as academics are our priority.
Unfortunately, we can only set aside this one day for the tertiary institutions; there will be no other dates or days available for individual presentations.
Please note:
Only the Grade 12 learners will be attending the event due to COVID-19 protocols. Edenvale High School has a total of 250 Grade 12 learners.
There are no fees attached to this day apart from your own travelling costs, own extra beverages and food.
Limited number of displays: 25 displays due to space available. First come, first serve.
RSVP end date: Monday, 28 February 2022. You will receive a confirmation email by Friday, 4 March 2022 to ensure that your spot has been reserved.
Date: Monday, 14 March 2022
Set-up: 07:00 - 07:50
Start time 08h05
Break: starts at 10h45
Pack-up by: 11h00
Venue: Edenvale High School Hall
Please ensure that you are set up by 07:50 as learners will enter from 08:05. There will be a constant flow of learners entering the hall so it is best to have 2 representatives to address the students. Please note that parents will not be attending to control the number of people inside the facility.
The Grade 12 class attendance times are as follows:
Period 1 (08:05-08:45) 12 D (29) + 12 F (28)
Period 2 (08:45 - 09:25) 12 I (26) + 12 J (26)
Period 3 (09:25 - 10:05) 12 E (25) + 12 B (24) + 12 G (22)
Period 4 (10:05 - 10:45) 12 H (24) + 12 A (23) + 12 C (23)
The following will be at your disposable:
A trestle table and chairs in the hall.
Please bring own table cloths and refreshments.
Please indicate if you are bringing your own table and/or if you need a plug point.
Please also ensure that your display is eye catching to attract the interest of every learner that passes your table.
Owing to time constraints the learners will be circulating past the different displays where you can speak to the interested learners; regrettably no speeches.
